Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information. This role will leverage Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) technologies to improve the performance of image and video Ads, fine-tuning foundation models and optimizing marketing images for better performance.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
  • Experience with Machine Learning, Infrastructure Systems, Debugging.
  • Experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.
  • Excellent Machine Learning skills, including computer vision with the ability to drive an application end-to-end.
  • Excellent technical skills, with infrastructure capability to solve problems in high-complexity and large-scale systems.

Responsibilities

  • Write product or system development code.
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
  • manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.

  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
