Google is looking to solve the toughest challenge balancing the need to accelerate developer productivity, while meeting stringent customer and regulatory needs for compliance controls in Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) cloud services.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
- Experience in Back-end Software Engineering, Design, Software Development.
- Experience programming in Go.
- Experience in one or more of the following: Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Systems, Security, Compliance, Contributing to Open Source Software or Technologies
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- Experience with Kubernetes (k8s) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, code, test and operate Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) cloud services.
- Work primarily in Go, but also in the myriad of other languages scattered amongst GKE.
- Develop a full knowledge of the GKE ecosystem.
- Help the culture of the team continue to be a high executing and fun to work in.
- Deliver hyperscale super computer that meets the highest level of regulations.
- Innovate and elevate GKE to the highest level of compliance that the era of AI needs and largest $xxB business agreements require.
- Solve the toughest challenge balancing the need to accelerate developer productivity, while meeting stringent customer and regulatory needs for compliance controls.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
