Capella Space is solving the problem of providing high-resolution, timely Earth insights through Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite technology. As a subsidiary of IonQ, they are also integrating quantum computing into space to enhance data fidelity, security, and speed for defense, intelligence, and commercial customers.
Requirements
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Rust, Java or C++
- Experience with cloud-based distributed systems and microservices (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Experience with AWS services including Lambda, S3, EKS, SQS
- Knowledge of data storage and processing technologies including SQL, MongoDB, InfluxDB, Kafka
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), GitLab, and CI/CD pipeline
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and distributed computing concepts
Responsibilities
- Design and develop distributed systems to support satellite operations.
- Collaborate with teams to define system requirements and architecture.
- Implement software solutions to enable efficient data processing and transmission.
- Optimize system performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex distributed systems.
- Ensure software meets quality and security standards.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and coding standards.
Other
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in software development with a focus on distributed systems
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce
