Requirements
- Proficiency in systems programming languages such as Rust and C++
- Experience with scripting languages like Python
- Strong understanding of compiler development, kernel design, or accelerator programming
- Experience in runtime systems, distributed systems, or high-performance simulation
- Familiarity with hardware architecture and optimization techniques
- Ability to analyze and optimize system bottlenecks related to I/O, memory hierarchy, and interconnects
- Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative environments with evolving hardware and ML systems
Responsibilities
- Design and implement APIs and runtime components to manage computation and data movement across heterogeneous ML workloads
- Contribute to compiler infrastructure, including developing optimizations and compiler passes to support new hardware features
- Engineer and optimize compute and data kernels for correctness, high performance, and portability in simulation and production environments
- Profile system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements at local and distributed scales
- Develop simulation infrastructure to validate runtime behavior, test hardware and system changes, and support early hardware development phases
- Collaborate with hardware and research teams to rapidly deploy runtime and compiler updates across supercomputing clusters
- Work across a diverse technology stack, primarily using Rust and Python, influencing architecture decisions within the training framework
