SMX is looking for a Software Engineer to support their government client in modernizing legacy applications and migrating them to a hybrid cloud service provider environment.
Requirements
- Software engineering experience encompassing: software requirements analysis, software design, software coding, software integration and testing
- Experience with Azure, AWS, and Gitlab pipelines
- Experience using JavaScript, jQuery, Web Services, APIs, HTML and CSS
Responsibilities
- Work closely with team members and customers to build and modify software
- Develop code, test, debug and fix issues, and improve software performance
- Connect data from differing sources such as SQL or Dataverse
- Set up, configure, and manage GitLab pipelines to automate build, deployment, and continuous integration processes
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to create user-friendly interfaces
- Integrate APIs and web services into applications as needed
- Modernize current legacy applications and migrate them to the hybrid cloud service provider environment
Other
- Clearance Required: Secret
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required + 4 additional years of related experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
- 0-10 years of relevant experience
- Ability to multi-task and work across a variety of software development projects
- Ability to work both independently and as a team
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must reside within a 70-mile radius of Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL
