Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG) is looking to develop, implement, test, and maintain scalable, high quality, low latency systems to deliver the best experience possible to customers in the online sportsbook industry.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- 1+ years of experience with full-stack development (Java and React)
- Good understanding of Spring & React frameworks and microservices
- 1+ years working with agile software product delivery and SCRUM methodology
- Good understanding of software development concepts and programming languages gained through education, training or self-learning
Responsibilities
- develop, implement, test, and maintain scalable, high quality, low latency systems
- employ the principles of data-driven development, operational excellence, process calibration, and efficiency to deliver a stable, extensible platform at scale
- Through fundamentals and excellence in object-oriented design, coding patterns, modern open-source frameworks, and 3rd party platform integrations, we can achieve our goals to rapidly deliver and innovate in this exciting new market.
- Assist in developing, testing, documenting and deploying high quality software into production
- Shadow and eventually participate in the on-call rotation and assists where possible with troubleshooting software issues
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge
- Develop a fundamental understanding of our industry, product, feature set, and roadmap
Other
- Must be open to occasional travel to Fanatics Betting & Gaming offices and other locations for conferences, events, meetings, and team-building activities
- Able to effectively communicate complex technical subjects to a variety of audiences (engineers, technical leaders, marketing and operations teams, non-technical functional leaders)
