This involves designing, building, and maintaining features across their event and video platform with a focus on high-quality code, performance, and reliability.

Requirements

  • Professional experience developing software in a modern programming language (for example: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C-Sharp, Python, Go, or similar).
  • Experience building web applications or services, including working with RESTful APIs and common web frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, such as data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented or functional programming concepts.
  • Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases and basic data modeling.
  • Experience with modern frontend technologies (e.g., React, Vue, or similar component-based frameworks).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization/orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to real-time or streaming technologies (e.g., WebRTC, WebSockets, live video or media streaming workflows).

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable services and APIs that power Goldcast’s virtual events, webinars, and content experiences.
  • Contribute to front-end experiences (such as event pages, attendee views, and engagement components) using modern web technologies.
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code; participate in code reviews to uphold engineering standards and share best practices.
  • Help improve the performance, reliability, and observability of the Goldcast platform, including troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
  • Work within an agile team, participating in sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and demos.
  • Partner with other Cvent teams (infrastructure, data, security, etc.) to ensure seamless integration of Goldcast capabilities across the broader Cvent ecosystem.
  • Stay current with relevant technologies and tools, and proactively suggest improvements to our architecture, tooling, and processes.

Other

  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements and user journeys into well-designed technical solutions.
  • Comfort working in a collaborative, agile environment, including participating in code reviews and iterative development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to teammates and stakeholders.
  • Prior work on SaaS platforms, especially B2B products or event/marketing technology.
