RoadRunner is looking to hire a Software Engineer I to help build the future of sustainable waste management by impacting their core platform and driving real-world impact through full-stack web-application engineering.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in full stack web development.
  • 1+ year of experience with at least one popular front-end web framework and one back-end web framework.
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails and JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus
  • Basic understanding of database design and querying, including knowledge of SQL (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Strong sense of curiosity and openness to using different technologies and continuing to strengthen their technical skill set.

Responsibilities

  • Writes code, debugs and performs unit testing in all application layers and data access layer in accordance with RoadRunner’s technical standards.
  • Participates in code reviews with manager to ensure accurate code and design techniques are being used and to further technical knowledge.
  • Assist in the full software lifecycle activities including project planning, requirement analysis, design, development, quality assurance and documentation.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering or related field
