RoadRunner is looking to hire a Software Engineer I to help build the future of sustainable waste management by impacting their core platform and driving real-world impact through full-stack web-application engineering.
Requirements
- Proficiency in full stack web development.
- 1+ year of experience with at least one popular front-end web framework and one back-end web framework.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails and JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus
- Basic understanding of database design and querying, including knowledge of SQL (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Strong sense of curiosity and openness to using different technologies and continuing to strengthen their technical skill set.
Responsibilities
- Writes code, debugs and performs unit testing in all application layers and data access layer in accordance with RoadRunner’s technical standards.
- Participates in code reviews with manager to ensure accurate code and design techniques are being used and to further technical knowledge.
- Assist in the full software lifecycle activities including project planning, requirement analysis, design, development, quality assurance and documentation.

- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering or related field
