This role will develop testing machine learning solutions that will contribute to Google's product excellence by developing features that utilize the next generation Large Language Models (LLMs) to provide development flow to developers, producing quality software, and keeping the developer in flow in their integrated development environment using AI solutions.
Requirements
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Experience with enterprise software architecture, full-stack development, Google Cloud Platform, software architecture, software development, software engineering.
- 3 years of experience in one or more of the following coding languages: Typescript, Go, Kotlin, Java.
- Experience with VSCode or IntelliJ.
- Experience with developer tools.
- Experience with developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
- Experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
Responsibilities
- Work with Google's researchers, engineers, and product managers from Google Cloud Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Google Research, developing testing machine learning solutions that will contribute to Google's product excellence.
- Develop features that utilize the next generation Large Language Models (LLMs) to provide development flow to the developers.
- Producing quality software, and keeping the developer in flow in their integrated development environment using AI solutions.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Work with Product Manager and User Experience (UX) teams to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
- Write and test product or system development code.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Other
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 3 years of experience with software development in training, developing or applying machine learning models.
- 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select among available technologies.
