LexisNexis USA is looking to hire a Software Engineer II to contribute to the development of system components, translate product requirements into software designs, and resolve technical issues.
Requirements
- utilizing software development to implement CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, and deployment processes, ensuring quicker delivery cycles and reducing time to market
- ensuring the security and compliance of software systems through secure coding practices, performance monitoring, and adherence to industry standards
- creating, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise-level software solutions that meet client and business needs
- utilizing object-oriented programming languages including Java or .NET (C), and in front-end technologies including Angular or React to design, develop, and maintain applications using modern frameworks and technologies including Angular for front-end development, Java and Spring Framework for backend services, and .NET for enterprise-grade solutions
- utilizing cloud computing platforms including Microsoft Azure to develop and deploy cloud-based applications leveraging AWS Cloud services to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance optimization, while also utilizing Microsoft Azure for building and managing robust CI/CD pipelines
- using software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles and Agile methodologies to collaborate in agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions by participating in code reviews, troubleshooting, and debugging issues, and to ensure the team adheres to agile standards and best practices, maintaining alignment to deliver work on time
- utilizing Angular, Java, Spring Frameworks, .NET, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services
Responsibilities
- Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
- Work closely with other development team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs.
- Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
- Resolve technical issues as necessary.
- Keep abreast of new technology developments.
- Complete bug fixes.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Other
- Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field required.
- 1 year of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
- Employee reports to LexisNexis USA office in Raleigh, NC, but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.
- Experience can be concurrent.
