LexisNexis USA is looking to solve the problem of developing system components of moderate complexity by hiring a Software Engineer II to write and review detailed specifications, collaborate with development team members, and resolve technical issues.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience: utilizing software development to implement CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, and deployment processes
- 1 year of experience: ensuring the security and compliance of software systems through secure coding practices, performance monitoring, and adherence to industry standards
- 1 year of experience: creating, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise-level software solutions that meet client and business needs
- Utilizing object-oriented programming languages including Java or .NET (C), and in front-end technologies including Angular or React
- Utilizing cloud computing platforms including Microsoft Azure to develop and deploy cloud-based applications
- Using software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles and Agile methodologies to collaborate in agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Utilizing Angular, Java, Spring Frameworks, .NET, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services
Responsibilities
- Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity
- Work closely with other development team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs
- Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders
- Resolve technical issues as necessary, keep abreast of new technology developments, and complete bug fixes
- Perform other duties as needed
- Utilizing software development to implement CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, and deployment processes
- Ensuring the security and compliance of software systems through secure coding practices, performance monitoring, and adherence to industry standards
Other
- Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field required
- 1 year of experience in job offered or related occupations required
- Employee reports to LexisNexis USA office in Raleigh, NC, but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.
- Experience can be concurrent
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
