Chewy is looking to develop advanced automation software for fulfillment centers to support the growth of its operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience leading the design (data structures, algorithms, performance, reliability, and scalability) and development of new software programs.
- Ability to program in Java, Kotlin, and Python.
- Experience in crafting terraforms in AWS Lambda.
- Experience with cloud-native technology stacks such as AWS.
- Experience crafting scalable RESTful services and APIs.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipeline including containerization, configuration management, and deployment.
Responsibilities
- Craft and develop software applications that integrate with industrial automation.
- Partner with internal software teams to integrate with other warehouse systems.
- Work with internal operations customers to acquire system feedback and measure system performance.
- Develop modular, highly available, secure, performant, reliable, and scalable production-ready systems using the latest technologies available.
- Test concepts and features through simulators, emulators, and with live equipment.
- Promote and support standard methodologies that facilitate automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
Other
- Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Engineering, or related field) or equivalent work experience.
- Current permanent U.S. work authorization is required
- Ability to simultaneously support multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Experience with scalable deployment technologies such as Docker, Jenkins, or Kubernetes.
