Microsoft's Windows Cloud Experiences (WCX) is developing a best-in-class VDI solution to enable millions of customers to work with physical and virtual PCs by shifting workloads to the cloud, allowing customers to work from everywhere on even the smallest, lowest powered devices.
Requirements
- 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 2+ years industry experience with C++ development and debugging skills.
- Experience developing, debugging, profiling, and optimizing code on different hardware platforms running the Windows operating system.
- Experience working with OS networking stacks (on any OS).
- Experience with low-latency data transmission over wireless networks.
- Experience with video codecs and low-latency, high-throughput video encoding/decoding.
- Knowledge of GPU APIs such as DX11, DX12 or Vulkan.
Responsibilities
- Developing the next generation of cloud streaming technology for Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) experiences.
- Designing, implementing, and evolving new tools and techniques to analyze and improve the visual quality and responsiveness of cloud streaming.
- Working on all aspects of Software Development including design, implementation, testing, maintenance, documentation and delivery.
- End-to-end ownership of your engineering activities and deliverables, from ideation to delivery.
- help build key technologies for low-latency streaming, innovating in areas such as real-time graphics, network resiliency, and video codecs, and bring powerful cloud compute anywhere through products such as Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop

- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
