This role aims to improve the regulatory and controls environment through education, identification, and implementation of control improvements, including recommending control design and operating effectiveness improvements, and automating manual compliance processes.

Requirements

  • Experience with languages like Python, C++, or similar languages.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments, ERP and system integration (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Experience: 2-3 years in control system programming and assessment.
  • Proficient in coding and automation.
  • Analytical mentality with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with Mongo database management a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply coding skills (e.g., Python, SQL, or other programming languages) to build automated solutions for improving risk reporting, governance processes, and compliance-related tasks. This includes designing, testing, and deploying scripts or applications to streamline repetitive tasks.
  • Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improving risk management practices. Apply advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques to uncover actionable insights.
  • Design, build, and optimize interactive dashboards, visualizations, reporting tools, and analytics platforms to enhance transparency and support data-driven decision-making across departments.
  • Work closely with multi-functional teams, such as IT, Finance, and Operations, to collect project requirements, overcome technical obstacles, and offer scalable solutions in line with governance, risk, and compliance requirements.
  • Identify and implement innovative process improvements to improve operational efficiency by bringing to bear automation and coding to reduce manual workflows, decrease processing time, and minimize errors.
  • Document coding projects and system improvements accurately, including technical specifications, user guides, and change logs, to ensure continuity.
  • Support the identification and quantification of risks by developing and maintaining technical tools such as risk assessment models, simulation frameworks, or predictive analytics systems.

Other

  • Experience in the "Big 4" consulting firms is highly valued as it demonstrates a solid understanding of operational excellence and collaborative teamwork.
  • Prior compliance or audit experience is not required.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance frameworks is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience with Active Directory
