Les Schwab's Platform Products & Services (PPS) team is looking to solve the problem of reliably, scalably, and securely delivering business solutions that support company growth and improve productivity. This involves defining processes and standards for new solution development and implementation, and ensuring foundational software and integration products meet business objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ IT experience in software development, integration, or platform services, with a focus on enterprise solutions.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience architecting and implementing enterprise solutions, including custom application development, enterprise data integration, or business intelligence efforts.
  • Demonstrated experience with a product-centric approach to technology solutions, including defining roadmaps and managing product lifecycles.
  • Exhibiting a strong breadth and depth of experience and knowledge in all areas involved in solution development and implementation, with a focus on foundational software and integration.
  • Proficient understanding of modern platform product management principles and their application to technology services.
  • Hands-on experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with enterprise application integration (EAI), API management, and data integration patterns.

Responsibilities

  • Define the design, development, and implementation of new software and integration solutions, ensuring alignment with product-centric principles and architectural standards.
  • Drive the adoption of a product ownership culture within the team, where each foundational service has clear accountability for its entire lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with BPS teams to understand their needs, translate them into technical requirements, and prioritize the product backlog for foundational technology.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new platform technologies and tools, framing decisions in the context of product value, scalability, security, and total cost of ownership.
  • Responsible for building solutions and utilizing appropriate management tools to meet the company's business needs.
  • Ensure the successful delivery, continuous improvement, and operational health of all foundational software and integration products.
  • Provide Level 2/3 operational support for foundational software and integration products, including incident resolution, root cause analysis, and proactive problem management.

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
  • Working on-call is required for this position, including but not limited to: evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Four-year college degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Actively participate in team discussions, contribute to a collaborative environment, and share knowledge with other team members.
  • Pursue professional development, continuing education, approved training, and certifications to enhance expertise in product management, software development, and integration technologies.
