Applied Signal Technology (AST) is seeking a Software Engineer II to participate in the requirements, design, development, and testing of software to strengthen the nation and improve the security of the world by providing trusted strategic and tactical SIGINT solutions.
Requirements
- Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of experience developing in C/C++
- Experience with system-level integration and testing, specifically, the integration of advanced, custom processing systems, testbeds, and software
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Perl and JavaScript
- Experience with XML
- Experience developing, coding, testing, and debugging complex algorithms
- Experience developing in C/C++ within a Linux environment
- Experience with Qt
Responsibilities
- Participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of software to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems
- Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions
- Participate in internal review of software components and systems
- Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products
Other
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Travel up to 25%
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret SCI (TS/SCI) U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
