LexisNexis Risk Solutions is seeking to help law enforcement agencies streamline reporting and improve public safety outcomes by developing and supporting innovative solutions. The role involves translating user requests into solutions and troubleshooting application-level issues.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Java
- Ability to write simple queries using SQL and work with XML files and databases
- Basic knowledge of UNIX systems, web services, Azure and AWS Cloud
Responsibilities
- Install our application software onto the customer’s servers and troubleshoot bugs and application-level issues
- Implement data mapping interfaces
- Work closely with other engineering team members to understand product functionality
- Perform software design — typically across multiple systems
- Talks to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions

- Good listening skills to assist with understanding customer problems and questions and help them solve it
- Able to work well with others and communicate status and concerns in a positive manner
- Self-motivated, hardworking person that's able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Collaborate and work as a team with different key stakeholders like support, QA, and sales
- BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent of Software Engineering experience
- Ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies
