The Azure portal aims to democratize the cloud by providing a fast, simple, productive, and beautiful single-pane-of-glass for customers to explore, learn, acquire, manage, and monitor all Azure products and services. The team is looking for web developers to build features for this large-scale web application, especially as it integrates with Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Requirements

  • 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript
  • 2+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, OR Python
  • 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • 2+ years of hands-on development building large-scale web applications using frameworks such as React JavaScript (JS), Knockout, and Angular.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable.
  • Contributes to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight.
  • Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems.
  • Remains current in skills by investing time and effort into staying abreast of current developments that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
  • build features for the Azure Portal.
  • building user-interface (UI) for complex large-scale web applications.
  • shape the cloud business as it adjusts with the Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Other

  • Works with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features.
  • Contributes to efforts to break down larger work items into smaller work items and provides estimation.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
  • 2+ years of experience showing entrepreneurial initiative with a can-do attitude—taking ownership as a self-starter, completing projects, and contributing as an adaptable, congenial colleague.
  • 2+ years of proficiency communicating effectively and collaborating across groups, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and align diverse perspectives.
