Microsoft Azure Edge + Platform (E+P) is looking to drive the future of edge computing by delivering Microsoft's edge vision through reliable and trustworthy OS and platform services. The goal is to unlock new opportunities at the edge through a scalable ecosystem that drives widespread adoption of Microsoft cloud services.
Requirements
- coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 3+ months experience using AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- coding in languages including, but not limited to, C-Sharp, C++, Go, Rust, or Java
Responsibilities
- Contributes to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight.
- Creates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable.
- Contributes to efforts to break down larger work items into smaller work items and provides estimation.
- Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems.
- Remains current in skills by investing time and effort into staying abreast of current developments that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
- Learn about and contribute to Azure Stack Hub Storage services and how those services are deployed, used, and supported on various edge platforms.
- Work with a team looking to incorporate these services into Kubernetes-based storage solutions.
Other
- Works with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- This role has flexibility to partner with your manager to define the way you'd like to work from our Pittsburgh office, with work-from-home opportunities for part of the week.
