Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Software Engineer II in San Mateo, CA to develop, deploy and maintain highly visible consumer-facing social features, ensuring seamless user experiences.
Requirements
- designing and implementing software applications using object-oriented programming language
- developing and monitoring robust solutions using object-oriented programming concepts, data structures, and database management
- designing, implementing, testing and deploying highly scalable distributed systems and services
- creating clear, maintainable, and well documented code
- participating in code reviews, source control management (Github) build processes, release management, and operations
- participating in release and deployment processes to ensure system availability and issue resolution
- performing root cause analysis and leveraging data analytics to derive actionable insights
- applying SOLID principles, and dependency injection to software design and development
- developing and consuming REST APIs and performing integration testing and unit testing
- implementing scripts using Python programming language
- utilizing Agile Scrum methodology, SQL databases including Microsoft SQL server, and development tools including Microsoft Visual Studio, and Postman

- Requires a Master’s degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent and three (3) years of experience
