Collins Aerospace is looking to hire a Software Engineer to deliver solutions that provide compelling gains to the consistency, efficiency, and productivity of product development efforts across the enterprise, specifically for Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) products in an ever-growing threat environment.

Requirements

  • Software and system-level debugging experience including the ability to identify problems in established code and make modifications as necessary
  • Experience using Agile methodologies, Atlassian/Jira toolset for task management, automation tool solution, Junit, Linux command line, shell, or python scripting.
  • Design and implementation experience with embedded software in C/C++
  • At least 1 years Linux OS use, ideally for an embedded environment
  • Object-oriented software development experience
  • Agile Scrum development experience
  • CI/CD software

Responsibilities

  • Support the engineering team members in embedded software application development, through guidance and direction to one or more software engineers
  • Investigate root cause of complex issues, and implement solutions, working independently or with a multi-discipline team
  • Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles in the development of software for the target hardware
  • Work closely with cross functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall system
  • Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, and formal test
  • Develop software test plans and procedures, and other relevant technical documentation
  • Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, prototype, and evaluate results

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment.
