The Cloud & AI organization at Microsoft is looking to accelerate its mission and bold ambitions to ensure that company and industry is securing digital technology platforms, devices, and clouds in customers' heterogeneous environments, as well as ensuring the security of its own internal estate. The Microsoft Red Team Intelligence Team is seeking a Software Engineer II to work with their internal security graph to generate actionable intelligence to support adversarial risk analysis, discover, assess, and track potential security and privacy risks exploitable by malicious actors.
Requirements
- 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 1+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role or red team experience
- 1+ years of experience working with graph technologies
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and validate insights, analytics, and automation capabilities that enables breach risk analysis at scale.
- Enable the red team breach operators to operate more efficiently by providing framework and terrain for reconnaissance.
- Provide automated vulnerability and impact assessments to help defenders understand and prioritize remediation.
- Deliver high quality engineering solutions while enabling Microsoft to strengthen our defenses.
- Development of automation that contributes to the red team’s objectives & security outcomes
- Design, implement, validate, monitor solutions that systematize red team analytics & insights
- Create and implement code that is highly extensible, secure, reliable, and maintainable

- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
