Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence, and the Fabric Core Platform Metadata team is a core component of Fabric Platform, building a world class service that combines big data, mission critical data and real-time data.
Requirements
- 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 2+ years of experience with highly scalable cloud services
- Passion for building highly performant scalable services
- Outstanding technical problem solving and debugging skills
- Passion for quality with experience designing and implementing automated tests, including unit tests and integration tests
- Experience with Azure technologies like Service Fabric, SQL Azure, REDIS cache, Service Bus, APIM, Blob storage, Kusto, Containers
- Proficiency in C-Sharp and T-SQL
Responsibilities
- We are looking for passionate developers with comprehensive experience in all service aspects of high-throughput, multi-tenant Azure services.
- You will collaborate with experienced team members on writing code and T-SQL to implement various features.
- The right candidate should also be deeply committed to enhancing the customer experience and continuously iterating to improve every aspect of it.
- Design components that handle various types of errors on Azure
- Write clean and well-structured code with solid tests for maintainability
- Be proficient in C-Sharp and T-SQL
- Develop a global and ownership-oriented perspective on the service

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
- Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
