Requirements
- coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 2+ year(s) of experience in development, planning, scheduling, and delivering quality software.
- Understanding of Windows architecture, API design, interfaces, COM, and WinRT API is a plus.
- Experience in creating apps and building on SDKs.
- Web development expertise.
Responsibilities
- Learn and implement code for products, services, or features, reusing code where applicable, with guidance.
- Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), monitoring systems/products/features/services for issues like degradation, downtime, or interruptions, and recommend actions to restore functionality as per the playbook.
- Stay updated on current developments and proactively seek knowledge to improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products, while ensuring consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
- Develops robust, user-focused Windows experiences
- Collaborates with various Microsoft teams (e.g., Bing, Office, Edge)
- Employs experimentation and feedback to enhance features
- Assists in identifying dependencies and developing design documents for product features under supervision.
Other
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify user requirements for features.
- Help break down work items into tasks and provide estimations.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
