Microsoft's Office Collab Services team is looking for an experienced engineer to build and maintain online services that power Office experiences for hundreds of millions of customers across all platforms, ensuring documents are accessible and personalized across devices, and providing a seamless sign-in experience for services like OneDrive and SharePoint.
Requirements
- coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- Experience with C-Sharp or C++ (or other general-purpose programming language).
- Experience debugging and diagnosing service health issues.
- 3+ years of experience developing for and running online services.
- 1+ year of industry experience with large-scale web and/or backend services.
Responsibilities
- Designing, coding, testing, debugging, building, and deploying across multiple clouds.
- Involved in both service infrastructure and service feature development.
- Works with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features.
- Contributes to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight.
- Creates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable.
- Contributes to efforts to break down larger work items into smaller work items and provides estimation.
- Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems.

- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
