Microsoft is looking to redefine how people manage their time and collaborate in a hybrid work environment by developing a next-generation scheduling platform that integrates deeply with Copilot experiences and other Outlook services. Requirements
- coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 1+ year(s) of experience in data analysis and business intelligence, including dashboard creation and trend interpretation.
- 1+ years() of experience working with AI integration or machine learning applications in product or business workflows.
- 5+ years of experience in software development using modern technologies such as C-Sharp, .NET, TypeScript, and building cloud-native applications and services (Azure preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Graph, M365 services, workplace productivity tools, and familiarity with AI/ML concepts, especially in the context of Copilot or agent-based systems.
- Exposure to hybrid work scenarios, calendar systems, and workplace coordination platforms, with experience leveraging software development assistants/agents for co-development.
Responsibilities
- Integrate personal and organizational time/location data into the M365 graph to power Copilot and agent-based assistance.
- Design and implement scalable backend services that power Microsoft Calendar experiences across Monarch and Teams, integrating deeply with substrate APIs, Copilot, and Places.
- Drive architectural decisions and engineering excellence to ensure high reliability, performance, and security in alignment with Microsoft’s Secure Future Initiative (SFI).
- Contributes to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight as well as break down larger work items into smaller work items and provides estimation.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and AI advancements to deliver transformative Copilot experiences that support calendar planning.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and agile planning processes.

- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and partner teams to define user requirements and deliver intelligent scheduling solutions that support hybrid work coordination.
- 2+ years of experience managing complex projects and demonstrated collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- 1+ year(s) translating technical concepts into practical business strategies, with proficient communication and problem-solving skills supported by a proven track record.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
