Microsoft's Azure Data engineering team is looking to solve the problem of building the data platform for the age of AI, powering a new class of data-first applications and driving a data culture, with a focus on delivering 99.999% availability across all regions of Cosmos DB
Requirements
- Coding experience in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- Experience working in distributed systems development
- Building niche Cloud Database development skills (Provisioning, Replication, Failover, Consistency Levels, Database Recovery, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and ship distributed database management system offerings effectively providing customer value in terms of security, performance, reliability, usability and manageability while ensuring business goals are met
- Collaborate effectively with the team, make appropriate systems tradeoffs in design and implementation, and ensure customer success in their use of the product

Other
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
- 2+ years technical engineering experience
- Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
