Brex is looking to solve the problem of scaling their AI-powered spend platform, which includes integrated corporate cards, banking, and global payments, along with intuitive software for travel and expenses. They aim to proactively control spend, reduce costs, and increase efficiency on a global scale, while also preparing for new market entries. The role specifically addresses the need to build and maintain new products and features, and develop tools to support this scaling effort, ultimately shaping the company's long-term technical vision.

Requirements

  • Experience architecting, developing, and testing client-side code end to end
  • Experience developing software for the Web platform, including cross-browser compatibility
  • Experience with modern tools like ES6+, React, GraphQL, & Webpack
  • Experience with modern tools like ES6+, React, GraphQL, & Webpack
  • Experience with developing in React Native for mobile
  • Basic experience with design tools

Responsibilities

  • Work with engineers across the company to build new features and products.
  • Design and implement experiments to improve our customer’s experiences.
  • Own problems end-to-end, thinking through everything from user experience, data models, scalability, operability and ongoing metrics.
  • Tune and polish features to a high-degree of excellence.

Other

  • We currently require a minimum of two coordinated days in the office per week, Wednesday and Thursday. Starting February 2, 2026, we will require 3 days per week in the office - Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
