Microsoft's Human Intelligence team is developing cutting-edge human-centric AI solutions in face recognition, liveness detection, and Seeing AI to empower people who are vision impaired and make technology accessible to everyone.
Requirements
- Experience in problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, ARIA).
- Contributions to open-source or accessibility-related projects.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Experience with full-stack development, including backend services (e.g., C, Dot NET, Azure, REST APIs) and front-end/mobile frameworks (e.g., React Native, Xamarin, UWP, Swift, or Android).
- Understanding of AI and computer vision concepts; experience with face recognition or liveness detection is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for AI-powered applications.
- Build intuitive, accessible front-end experiences for mobile and Windows platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including researchers, designers, and product managers to define and deliver new features.
- Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and best engineering practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in AI, computer vision, and accessibility.

- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices and a passion for building inclusive technology.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
