Nuna is tackling one of the nation's biggest problems by making high-quality healthcare affordable for everyone, and this role will contribute to that mission by building innovative solutions to improve healthcare access and affordability.
Requirements
- Knowledge of React (state management, call backs, etc) and experience building component based UIs
- Familiarity with backend languages such as Java or Kotlin
- Experience in full stack development and open to being language agnostic
- Experience with creating APIs using service-oriented system architecture
- Understanding of automated testing concepts in web apps and the ability to consistently apply them
- Knowledge of database fundamentals like indexing, SQL queries, schema migrations, and managing backups
- Experience with cloud technologies such as terraform or AWS
Responsibilities
- Building innovative and beautiful data visualizations that illuminate the path towards higher quality care at lower cost
- Building performant, well-documented, scalable APIs that can answer the complex questions our users have about their data
- Partnering with other engineers to solve complex business and engineering problems
- Designing schemas in partnership with the data engineers and health data experts that can quickly serve results and generate reports
- Building a well-tested, continuously-deployable, and high-quality codebase that supports developer velocity and exceptional reliability

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field

- Ability to write clearly and document their ideas
- Passionate about writing high-quality code
- 2+ years of experience in a full-time software engineering role
