The GPS/Agent Experience – ServiceHub team at Wayfair is looking to build and improve internal tools for customer service agents to make them more intuitive, reliable, and efficient, leading to better agent engagement and higher customer satisfaction. This involves refining workflows, surfacing important customer information, and reducing friction in daily support interactions within ServiceHub.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of professional experience in front-end development using ReactJS and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS3, TypeScript, and responsive design principles.
  • Proven knowledge and experience working with object-oriented programming languages.
  • Experience or exposure to SQL and Java.
  • Experience integrating front-end components with REST APIs or GraphQL services.
  • Solid understanding of front-end state management patterns (e.g., Redux, Context API).
  • Experience with backend technologies such as Java (Spring Boot) and writing or debugging SQL queries.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design and hands-on building of applications that are reliable, scalable, and easy to maintain.
  • Ensure the quality of engineering direction across multiple teams within the organization.
  • Contribute to architectural and code review discussions that impact our engineering ecosystem.
  • Define standards to raise the bar for the teams you'll be working with.
  • Collaborate with leads and engineers across multiple teams to solve a wide variety of business and technical problems.
  • Ensure our systems are properly documented.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the Wayfair engineering organization.

Other

  • Hybrid role based in Boston, MA and will require you to work in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
  • 3+ years of transferable software development experience in a corporate environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
