Mojang Studios is looking for a Software Engineer II to help build the engine and systems that power a diverse set of Minecraft Online Experiences over a dozen platforms, empowering internal developers and creator partners to deliver amazing experiences to players.
Requirements
- 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 1+ year of experience developing in C++ with an understanding of the architecture of modern game engines (component-based, event-driven, etc.).
- Experience with designing, programming, and debugging in two or more areas with domain expertise.
- 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
Responsibilities
- Define architecture, evaluate requirements, estimate development, and integrate high quality features into our products.
- Empowering our internal developers and our creator partners to deliver amazing experiences to our players.
- Work with peers across disciplines (Engineering, Design, Production, and Quality) to build robust features on a predictable schedule.
- Identifying technological opportunities for improvements will be critical in the success of the role.
- Design solutions for systems which result in simple, extensible, and maintainable high-quality code.
- Uses technical knowledge of the product design and code to identify risks and prevent classes of bugs.
- Builds an understanding of customer needs to inform design and implementation decisions.
