Rocket Lab is looking to hire a Software Engineer II – Operations Software to create, maintain, deploy, and support components, functions, or services in launch vehicles and spacecraft operations to support their mission of opening access to space.
Requirements
- 2+ years of software experience
- Experience with Git
- Experience with one of: Redmine, Jira, or other issue tracker
- Golang Development
- High-performance systems & scalability
- Network Protocols (UDP / TCP / gRPC / CCSDS)
- Linux Containers
Responsibilities
- Acquisition, ingestion and storage of telemetry from: Launch Operations, Spacecraft Operations, Integrated Systems Testing, Operational Simulations, Sub-System Testing
- Design and implement software, tests, and architecture based on feature requests and bug fixes.
- Create operational documentation for software products.
- Manage and review source code using version control tools and establish code review standards.
Other
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
- Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing.
- Must be physically able to commute to buildings
