Abnormal Security is looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer to join the Premium Email Products (PEP) team. The PEP team builds & operates Abnormal’s AI Security Mailbox and Search & Respond products. Our objective is to automate the SOC team’s workflows by providing them with reliable, intuitive, and delightful products that give them time back in their day.
Requirements
- Expert in React, Redux, JS/Typescript
- Intermediate+ Python and/or Go skills
- Experience working with distributed teams, proficient in asynchronous and written communication
- You’re able to leverage AI Developer tools such as Copilot, Claude, or Cursor in your daily workflow
- Familiarity with our stack: AWS, K8s, Django, Postgres/MySQL, Prometheus
- Familiarity with AWS services and deployment practices.
- Knowledge of containerization
Responsibilities
- Design and execute software projects that are crucial to Abnormal’s success with a team of engineers, through conception, design, implementation, launch, and operation.
- This is a full stack team which is responsible for all the layers - stretching from the database layer and bubbling all the way up to the UI.
- This role is 70% back end (Golang and Python) with 30% front end (React/Javascript).
- Experience building features & components from scratch and operating them, balancing feature development work with operational tasks
- Familiarity with our stack: AWS, K8s, Django, Postgres/MySQL, Prometheus
- Familiarity with AWS services and deployment practices.
- Knowledge of containerization

- Provide guidance and mentorship for junior members of the team
- Collaborate with Technical Program Managers, Product Managers, and Go-ToMarket teams to implement, verify, and iterate on issues and requests from our customers.
