JPMorgan Chase is looking to enhance, design, and deliver software components for state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way within the Commercial and Investment Bank - Payment Engineering and Architecture Solutions Delivery team.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Familiarity with container and container orchestration such as Kubernetes, ECS and Docker
  • Strong experience with Terraform and automation tooling and scripting knowledge (Bash/YAML), git-based workflows
  • Proficient in coding in one or more languages i.e. Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle

Responsibilities

  • Execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system
  • Write secure and high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Facilitate evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
  • Facilitate communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
  • Address non-functional requirements to ensure stability, security and scalability of the API infrastructure
  • Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development
