Crown Castle is looking to hire a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain software applications that provide exceptional value to their customers, leveraging Java programming and the AWS cloud ecosystem to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions.
Requirements
- Experience with Netcool or similar network management systems
- Experience with SQL and database-driven reporting.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and scripting.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with ServiceNow and API-based integrations.
- Experience with Grafana or similar analytics tools
- Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and tools (e.g., static code analysis, vulnerability scanning, secure CI/CD pipelines).
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance legacy middleware systems (e.g., Perl) and contribute to modernization efforts using Python.
- Develop and support SQL-based reporting tools and dashboards.
- Integrate cloud-adjacent systems and APIs into OT infrastructure.
- Design and implement web-based dashboards (e.g., Grafana) for analytics and monitoring.
- Participate in diagnostics, performance tuning, and documentation efforts.
- Apply secure coding practices and contribute to a DevSecOps culture by integrating security considerations into development, deployment, and maintenance workflows.
- Automate system inventory management processes using scripting and integration tools.

- Hybrid: This role falls into our hybrid work model, which is 2-days work from home (Monday and Friday) and 3-days in the office (Tuesday through Thursday) to optimize collaboration, relationship building and key stakeholder engagement and may require some travel as needed.
