Samsclub Membership team needs a technical delivery perspective to develop and maintain robust and scalable solutions that ensure high performance, reliability, and adaptability to meet the evolving business needs
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot and microservice architecture, including experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud application development including scalable, data driven, and message-oriented architecture
- Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL Databases (e.g., Cosmos)
- Expertise in version control tools and agile development methodologies
- Ability to debug complex issues, analyze logs in production environments, quickly understand and build upon existing codebase
- Strong knowledge of automated testing tools and CI/CD pipelines
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, deploy and maintain scalable software applications using various programming languages, frameworks and technologies
- Collaborate with a small team of engineers on software development and design, identifying both short-term and long-term solutions
- Engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather and understand software requirements and translate them into technical specifications and designs
- Leverage automated testing tools and CI/CD pipelines to streamline software development and deployment processes
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards
- Work with the team to continuously improve software development methodologies and practices
- Monitor application performance and provide ongoing support and maintenance, including bug fixes, feature enhancements and system upgrades
Other
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer science, with a minimum of 2 years of industry experience in software engineering or a related field
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in-person on a regular and purposeful basis
- Must be able to pass a drug test and adhere to Walmart’s drug-free workplace policy
