LexisNexis Risk Solutions is looking for an engineer to join their dynamic development team to help customers solve technical problems associated with their specific missions. The team offers solutions focused on helping businesses drive higher revenue growth, maximize operational efficiencies, and improve customer experience by mitigating risks in areas like Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Terrorist Financing, Identity Authentication & Verification, Fraud and Credit Risk, and Customer Data Management.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and previous experience with: C-sharp, .NET, Java, JavaScript, Python, SQL.
  • Knowledge of and previous experience with deployment of C-sharp .NET applications and microservices to Azure.
  • Knowledge of and previous experience with source control and development tools including Git source control systems, and Eclipse or Visual Studio Code.
  • Proficiency with data manipulation languages.
  • Understanding of data modeling principles.
  • Ability to work with complex data models.
  • Knowledge of and previous experience with big data analysis techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
  • Work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
  • Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
  • Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Resolve technical issues as necessary.
  • Keep abreast of new technology developments.
  • Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.

Other

  • Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Knowledge of test-driven development.
  • The position should have the ability to work on individual pieces of work and solve problems including the design of the program flow of individual pieces of code, effective coding, and unit testing.
  • This position performs moderately difficult research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line.
