Google is looking to solve the problem of handling information at massive scale and extending beyond web search, with a focus on security operations and vulnerability management.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management).
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, in relation to data privacy, security systems, or computer and network security.
- Experience with security assessments, vulnerability management, security research, vulnerability investigation or security development life-cycle.
- Experience with open source software and infrastructure development.
- Experience in one or more languages (e.g., C++, Python, Rust).
- Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain existing security tooling and automation and work with Chrome Product Security to identify any areas of friction in vulnerability management, bug triage, or other operations and devise new tooling or automation to address them.
- Collaborate with other engineers on the team to create new tools to automate processes.
- Develop and maintain data analysis tools, dashboards, and reporting of security metrics.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Participate in creating new automation that will directly impact the Chrome vulnerability life-cycle and ensure that we are able to release security fixes as quickly as possible.
- Work on tooling to support the generation of security metrics and dashboards as part of Product Security initiatives

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- Ability to work in Seattle, WA, USA or Kirkland, WA, USA
- US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
