Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information. The Web AI Platform team aims to make the web the best place for developers to build, develop and deploy AI features to users, advancing AI computing capabilities of the Web Platform and expanding the reach and improving the performance of on-device AI.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (C++)
- 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Experience with running AI Inference on-device.
- Experience in ML performance, large-scale systems data analysis, ML debugging, LLMs, or specialized areas within ML.
Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code.
- Developing new debugging tools in DevTools to support the built-In AI APIs.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Integrate new LLM models and perform LLM fine tuning to improve model performance.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
- Contribute to the development of WebNN.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.

- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
