Google's Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for users, solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world. This role will contribute to developing next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another, handling information at massive scale.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience with software development in C++ and Python or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 1 year of experience with Computer Vision (e.g., image classification and processing, object detection, visual search), video generation, or signal processing.
- 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
- Experience in imaging/vision/perception, human computer interaction, augmented/virtual reality, video streaming, and real-time sensors.
- Experience in 3D reconstruction and motion tracking.
- Experience with cameras, image processing or Android development.
Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
- Design and deploy end-to-end perception systems for resource-constrained devices.

- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
