Requirements
- Proficient in coding in one or more languages such as Python and SQL
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Hands on experience in cloud data or platform engineering including implementation experience
- Working knowledge of AWS: Virtual Private Clouds, subnets, routing, security groups, and NACLs
- Hands on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and/or AWS ECS
Responsibilities
- Support implementation and scaling of core data lake capabilities on Databricks, including ingestion, processing, governance, cataloging, quality, lineage, access, and consumption
- Test and evaluate new Databricks features; participate in PoCs and help integrate useful capabilities into the platform
- Assist in performance and reliability improvements through tuning, load/stress testing, and monitoring
- Document best practices, guardrails, runbooks, and onboarding materials for broader CDAP engineer reference
- Explore agentic solutions and tools to enhance automation, developer experience, and operational efficiency
- Demonstrates enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to learn

- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
