Boston Scientific is looking to develop medical device products, specifically for the cryoablation family of devices, that save lives and improve patient outcomes. This involves designing, developing, and maintaining software for these devices, ensuring patient safety and product quality within a regulated environment.
Requirements
- Experience with C++, Qt, Linux
- Expertise with Linux, C++ , Qt and familiarity with one other computing or scripting language such as Python.
- Experience with security vulnerability impact analysis and secure design principles.
- Strong knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles and testing methodologies.
- Expertise in developing software using Scrum methodology.
- Experience working with third-party C++ libraries such as STL and Boost.
- Ability to recognize architectural problem areas and determine ways to effectively resolve them.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain application and system software for our medical devices using C++ and Qt.
- Provide technical leadership for sustaining activities performed by a global team.
- Solve difficult problems and always strive to make things better and achieve engineering excellence.
- Partner with other teams including marketing, systems engineering, QA, hardware and regulatory to understand requirements and bring the best solutions forward.
- Develop features and updates for the cryoablation family of devices.
- Interface with other teams, such as systems engineering, hardware engineering and technicians from the field.

- Hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office three days per week.
