Requirements

  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience in backend and server-side programming.
  • 2 years of experience with client-side web/app technologies and UI designs.
  • 2 years of experience in Experiment Design.
  • 2 years of experience in data analysis.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Write a product or system development code.
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Work across the new Search stack, implementing prompting up through custom User Interface (UI).
  • Work directly with Product Managers (PM) and User Experience (UX) on feature scoping and development.
  • Analyze evaluations, metrics, and logs to identify areas of focus and future development.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience working on search stack (e.g., SuperRoot, MaRS, QRS).
  • Ability to create interactive prototypes to explore, communicate and iterate on complex design solutions.
