Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information. Our products need to handle information at massive scale, and extend well beyond web search. Our team's mission is to build the next-gen unified Conversion Infrastructure to consistently and reliably track conversions to power Ads products such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, and GMP and provide insightful recommendations and optimizations for advertisers. Our team has taken up a huge undertaking of building a very critical infrastructure that will replace multiple existing large scale systems (hundreds of billions events/day) that are currently being used to perform conversion measurement, attribution, and conversion modeling. We are looking for a software engineer to help build the next generation of data processing conversion infrastructure.

Requirements

  • software development in C++
  • developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks
  • compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture
  • performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging
  • code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering
  • large Scale Distributed Systems, Flume, Large Scale Data Processing, Back-end, SQL, Pod, Ads
  • advertising products, quality work in Google Ads, GA4, or GMP

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
  • Write product or system development code.
  • Design, develop and launch complex new systems and data processing pipelines.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize large scale data processing pipelines to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Innovate solutions to improve conversion measurements, attribution, and conversion modeling.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work across teams/organizations and plumb through multiple large pieces of infrastructure.
  • display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack
  • manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
