Google is looking to enhance the state of the test scheduling and execution systems to support optimal testing of ChromeOS across a various fleet of Chromebook hardware, testing frameworks, and testing scenarios, and to adapt to and converge ChromeOS’s testing infrastructure with Android’s to support ChromeOS’s increasing adoption of Android.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
  • Experience with Cloud technologies.
  • 2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance the state of the test scheduling and execution systems to support optimal testing of ChromeOS across a various fleet of Chromebook hardware, testing frameworks, and testing scenarios.
  • Adapt to and converge ChromeOS’s testing infrastructure with Android’s to support ChromeOS’s increasing adoption of Android.
  • Develop the tools, systems, APIs, and interfaces necessary to connect the automated testing to the test lab.
  • Implement primarily backend code in Golang and Python.
  • Manage integration testing, process automation, monitoring, and bug fixing.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Ability to work in Boulder, CO, USA or San Jose, CA, USA
  • US work authorization
