The team is working on the Google Meet back-end (Meetings API Server), responsible for its stability, reliability, and technical quality. AI will change the future of work, and Google's products are at the forefront, with a mission to meaningfully connect people so they can create, build, and grow together.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
  • 1 year of experience in software development with Java or Kotlin.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience in common storage services (e.g., Spanner).

Responsibilities

  • Write product or system development code.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Improve availability, reliability and latency of the Meet API back-end.
  • Build capabilities in the Meet API back-end to increase Developer (dev) velocity.
  • Refactor the code base to increase Developer velocity.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
