Bank of America needs to develop and deliver complex requirements to accomplish business goals for Global Markets applications under FICC, Currencies, Commodities, PBMRT, Equities, and Munis, ensuring software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements, and that solutions are well-designed with maintainability and ease of integration and testing built-in.
Requirements
- well versed with Quartz architecture, core components as well as legacy infrastructure
- Strong interest in or knowledge of infrastructure technology e.g. servers, storage; networks, grid, High Availability.
- Exposure to Market Data, Messaging servers, and Schedulers.
- Exposure to monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, Splunk and Kibana.
- knowledge of networking (firewalls, DNS, Load Balancing, Proxies, etc.)
- Exposure to IAM infrastructure, Active Directory, and SSO solutions.
- Understanding of applications integrated into DMZ.
Responsibilities
- Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
- Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
- Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
- Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Automates manual release activities
- Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
Other
- Strong general consulting/project skills (ability to help clients define requirements, write statement of work, marshal resources, project management, scope control, risk management).
- Advise the application teams on creating business objectives, and technical requirements.
- Experience of working with cross-functional and global teams with dynamic business requirements.
- Knowledge of Bank of America processes, and procedures.
- Ability to follow, improve upon and create processes required for effective IT infrastructure Management.
