As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking and Small Business Lending, the business and/or technical problem is to design and deliver trusted, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable by implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas to achieve the firm’s business objectives.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification on SQL concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Advanced SQL skills; SQL Server and PostgreSQL experience in any other RDBMS.
- Hands-on practical experience delivering database design, database modelling, database administration, development, testing, and operational stability.
- Hands on experience with Stored Proc, views, triggers, indexes and performance tuning.
- 5+ years of experience in Database technologies MS-SQL Server, Postgres, Aurora Postgres.
- 2+ plus years of experience in AWS technologies especially Aurora and Amazon RDS.
- Proven understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security in Software Development Life Cycle.
Responsibilities
- Supports review of controls to ensure sufficient protection of enterprise data.
- Responsible for making configurations/customization changes in one to two tools to generate a product at the business/customer request and advising colleagues in their requests.
- Updates logical or physical data models based on new use cases.
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or breakdown technical problems.
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
