Apple is looking to ensure the quality of its ecosystems, as well as the apps and frameworks that drive Apple’s leading platforms on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS by testing the most iconic operating systems.
Requirements
- Experience writing code in Swift or Objective C to test an API, SDK, or Frameworks
- Experience writing and triaging automated software tests (e.g., unit-tests, regression tests, functional tests, stress tests)
- Experience with XCTest and Xcode
- Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution
- Detail oriented, analytical, and creative problem solver with passion for quality processes
- Ability to work independently, raise issues and take corrective action
- Keen eye for detail
Responsibilities
- Work on a multi-functional team which is responsible for projects such as SpringBoard and Spotlight
- Work closely with software engineers, project managers and other Apple quality teams
- Ensure that Apple delivers the next generation of its operating systems with the highest quality by providing continuous integration testing
- Provide a mix of manual testing supplemented by automated suites to help ensure scale
- Focus on the larger projects while sweating the small UI details
- Develop test plans, assess risk, file appropriate bugs, and consolidate bug reports
- Drive development and deployment of relevant testing tools and infrastructure
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Three years of experience as a software engineer
- Two years of directly related work experience can substitute for the education requirement
- Ability to work independently
